2 Mar 2007 at 15:59 #1 SuperJ SuperJ Associate Joined 23 Nov 2006 Posts 90 I have just bought a GIGA DS3 and a 8800 GTS to upgrade my system CPU = 6300 I built it all up and pressed power and all that happened was the sys fan jumped a bit, and that was it. It won't even make it to POST Any ideas?

Nah, it's PC2-3200, after a quick google search they do make DDR2 ram at 3200. Did you say you have reset the BIOS then?

I thought you were using the DS3 with the memory and were just trying to put a graphics card in. I'm prity sure that the PC3200 memory you are using isn't fast enough to run a 6300 conroe. The minimum you need is PC2-4200. I'm confused, I would wait till someone else gives you some advice, at least I've bumped the post to the top of the pile again.
