PC won't boot into BIOS but works fine.(updated)

Well my computer works fine and everything... never crashes.. can play games.. Etc. All that it is that when my PC is loading up if i try to enter the Bios my PC starts to enter it but then it just freezes and i can see half of the BIOS but can't press anything. The only way to get out of it is if i press Ctrl+alt+del. Then it loads up my PC. I basically just want to see if there's a fix to it just incase i ever need to enter it when it's out of warranty.

If it is in warranty I'd return it, if you attempt to flash it and it bricks your motherboard because there is something up with the BIOS chip, then the warranty will be invalidated.

Did you buy it from here?

(if not, careful not to mention competitor names as it is against forum rules)

:)

unfortunately not... i found this site after i bought it...

Ah, well you could email them and see what they have to say about it I suppose, they might take it away and repair it and then bring it back if you're lucky. Customer service is funny business... They might be good, they might not.

unfortunately not... i found this site after i bought it... can i say it rhymes with Dan?

if its who i am thinking of then i have just have a very bad experience with them on a 5 day old GFX card that was faulty. and will never use them again.

they tried to refuse my return on a 5 day old damaged card..... PAYPAL gave me a refund. but there was a few day's of fighting before that.
Good luck.

If it's any help it freezes on this screen when I click settings

Tbh i'm not very PC savvy so no i haven't but i have a few questions.
If i reset my BIOS will i have to reinstall windows as i currently have it running off my SSD?
Also can you give me rough guidelines on how to do it.?

cheers.

no, no need to reinstall anything.

unplug pc, remove side case, remove the little battery on the motherboard. then reverse

Are you using a usb3 port? If so change it to a usb2 port.

Try other usb ports

Preferably do not use a USB keyboard to enter bios but a PS/2 or PS/2 adaptor on a USB keyboard.

So I've managed to get into my BIOS and I've changed it to if I hold the power button for 4 seconds for some reason I can get in but csnt on a normal boot up. Is there anything I should look to enable/disable now I'm finally in BIOS
