So I have been having some fan issues & whilst tinkering around inside (I was trying to connect a 4 pin connector to a suitable port on mobo) the pc cut out!!

I booted back up but no signal to monitor.... Graphic card fan running, CPU fan running, fan leds working however no beep on start up!

I guess I have fried something? Mobo? Power supply?

Any ideas
Win 11
Asus b550m mobo
Rtx 3060 graphics card

This post would be better in general hardware, but just to be clear… you were connecting a fan up whilst the motherboard was powered on and the system running?

Yeah did it whilst still running..I know!!!!

I have taken out battery & left for a few mins... No difference :(

Sounds like you have bricked the board. Could test with just one stick of RAM at a time and without the GPU if you have onboard graphics you can use. Does seem like the board is damaged but.

Was the 4 pin connector a fan header?

Sounds like you shorted some power rail to ground and triggered over current protection - have you tried completely disconnecting the PC from the wall, turning off all switches and leaving it for a minute, then connecting the power cord back up and trying again?
