i have a asus rampage iii extreme mobo, and recently it has been crashing randomly with blank screen, or sometimes didnt post.
few days ago it failed to post completely with no beep and there was just a blank screen, no matter how many times i restarted pc.
so i got the mobo by itself, with just the cpu, gpu and one stick of ram and tried booting. same result, the lights come on and fans work but no beep and blank screen. i tested different ram stick and another gpu and still no result.
on my mobo there is a BIOS switch. with one setting, the booting process indicated by a red light on the mobo passes the CPU, DRAM but gets stuck on the VGA. so i tested different pci-e slots but still it didnt work.
the other bios switch setting, the red light gets stuck on DRAM. i have corsair dominator GT 6gb stick, i tested each stick in different slots and still it didnt post.
i removed all the RAM to see if the mobo would beep with an error and it did.
so whats the problem guys, what else can i do??
