I installed the DH Remote (P5W DH mobo) software onto my PC and it's been working fine until...

I unplugged the IR receiver's USB cable while the PC was switched off. On doing this the PC switched on  so I held the power button down to switch is back off again.

Now when I switch the PC on its in some kind of hibernate mode? No BIOS, no power to USB devices and no signal to my TFT.

Fans etc are merrily spinning away though! I've reconnected the USB IR receiver but that hasn't helped! I can't switch my PC on - HELP!

i've done this before

unplugged the receiver and had the PC switch on when i dont want it to

then powered off the PC during its POST process

its never done this afterwards though. Have you tryed the usual, re-seating cables, leaving the computer unplugged etc.. ?

Exactly that!

I switched the PC off at the PSU a few hours ago faintly hoping it might make a difference when I try again shortly.

Power is coming through the USB ports as the LEDs on my X52 flight stick glow on the throttle. Nothing is responding so far - the TFT power LED just blinks and its scanning for an input (display message switches between analogue and digital).

I've tried powering on - both with and without the IR receiver connected, but this won't make any difference anyway if the USB devices aren't responding.

I'm guessing there's something physical on the motherboard which stores the power 'state' as regarded by DH Remote, and this is preventing the machine from booting. Almost as if its hibernating.

Not really sure what to do next. I've submitted a query with Asus for what its worth!
