Hi guys,

I need some help with my pc (spec is in my sig). 2day my Pc
For some unknown just froze up while I was playing counter strike,
nothing was working like ctrl+Alt+del, windows key and alt+f4,
So I forced and shut down by holding down the the power switch.
Left it for 10sec then switched it back on, and it failed to load my over
Clocked setting from the bios, so I have reset my bios setting to default.
Booted back up but I got the to Windows logo screen an it have hanging
There, after 20mins of it hanging there I forced another reboot but I booted
Up in safe made and then the same thing again it was hanging there but on
This msg "windows\system32\drivers\classpnp.sys".

I have tryed to also boot up in last known good configuration but stil hanging
At the windows logo screens.

Can anyone help me plz :).

Thanks

P.s
My windows is, windows 7 pro 64bit

hard drive failure maybe, virus or windows corruption?

I do a virus scan once aweek and that wa last night and that did not turn up anything.

Hdd failure I hope not as my other hdd is being rma and I can't back my dater.

windows corruption is what I was thing about as well an doing a fresh install if windows 2night wen I get from work.

I can't even boot into windows, it's just hanging at the windows logo or is there another way?.

I think (not sure so someone will have to clarify) if you put the installation disc in and boot from that, you'll find some repair tools and pretty sure one of them was system restore.

yeh, when you get to the install screen then in the bottom left is a repair tools part, lots of stuff in there, best one being system restore.

Unplug any external devices except mouse monitor and keyboard, reconnect when in windows.

Possibly disable APIC in bios

Ok that is strange, just my Pc back on from being switched off for the last 20mins and booted up ok but once I logged in everything become very laggy and not responding then my screen just turned black.

Going to try the bois setting what some of u guys have sed if that dont work I will put in my windows disk and try repair/restore.

Cheers

Rite, I try booting from the win 7 disk, did a system repair/restore. Then it booted up all fine :), I then run seatools and run a SMART check of both or my hdd and it passed. I've still left my bios setting at default setting CPU atm is running at stock. So I ran prime95 and after 10 sec of that running my computer just locked up so I had to do a force restart.

I the. Switched It back on and it booted up all fine, I didnt run prime 95 again cuz I have run out of time as I have got to go to work now.

So what could this be what is causing this?.

Thanks
