Short story, it got wet :D,

Some water found its way into my pc after a glass was knocked over, the pc wasnt turned on at the time, i unplugged everything straight away, a few hours later i plugged the power on and as i should have known, nothing, no power what so ever, no mobo bleeps, nothing, the only thing that has life is the Blue CMOS switch on the back, the blue light is on when i plug in the power, i thought initialy that it was the PSU, because it is placed at the bottom of the case, but then i noticed the CMOS light, im pretty sure the water didnt get onto anything other than the PSU, but i could be wrong.

i dont know where to start with finding out where the problem is, having no boot at all, its rather annoying because im no expert.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I couldnt say if they are or not, and no i dont, all i can say is the water went in through the side fan, allot just went to the bottom of the case, which is where the PSU is, a couple of spots may have got onto other bits though, highly unlikely though, what my main confusion is, is with the PSU, why would a PC just not power up?, even with components taken out it should still power up surely?, thats why i thought it was a PSU problem, but then as i said, i noticed that CMOS light

Unfortunately, you should have waited a few days - ideally putting the wet part in the airing cupboard to ensure that it was completely dry. It's possible you may ahve shorted a component.

Ieven with components taken out it should still power up surely?,

If you want to test to see if the PSU will power you will need to do the paperclip test using a fan - link.

If you want to do a more thorough test, and if you haven't got a spare PSU to hand, you could do a basic PSU test - below are links to Huddy's site which has a step by step guide on how to test your PSU using a volt/multimeter:

'Use a multimeter to check your PSU' and one to 'How to check if your PSU is faulty'
