hey guys. this happened last night. heres my spec:

evga 680i
c2d 6600 @stock
bfg 8800gts @stock
2gb geil pc6400

i was playing around with the ram settings in bios just before this happened.may be related. bit too much of a coincidence otherwise. on power up, everything seems to power on but nothing is happening. the mobo makes no beep, all the L.E.D's come on and all the fans are spinning, just nothing comes up on screen. also, the digital onboard display shows 2 dashes which isnt in the mobo handbook. ive tried the ram in 2 different slots and tried one stick at a time. also tried resetting the cmos, although im not sure if i was doing this correctly and nothing has worked. really annoying. some advice desperately needed guys. thanks

Hi similar thing happened to me with my Abit aw9d max what I needed to do was reset the bios using the jumper on MB and I did corrupt it once and had to remove battery to clear it.

Try a reset to default always a good place to start after messing around I find :)

Yeah to reset the CMOS try switching the PC off (helps! :p ) then switching the PSU off at the back. Then what I do, is move the CMOS Juper over and leave it for about 30 seconds. Then I remove the battery, leaving the CMOS Jumper on reset. Then set it all back to normal, switch on the power and see if it boots. :)

just phoned evga in germany, which is not going to be pleasant when i have to pay my mobile phonebill. theres an orange and blue led lit up when my psu is on but the pc switched off. i remember there only ever being a blue light on when in stand by. he confirmed that this wasnt right and that it meant one of 2 things, either that the motherboard was defective or that the psu had gone. my psu is a 1000w bfg. what you guys think. its more likely to be the mobo isnt it. im gona have to send it to germany if so.. thats such a hassle. had nothing but problems since i got this pc :(
