Hi Experts

Just upgraded to Windows 8 and was gonna try Hyper-v. I enabled Intel Virtualisation in BIOS and the PC wouldn't post and it set default BIOS settings. Can't you overclock when using virtualisation on a 3930K?
Specs in sig, ta:)

I had issues with Windows 8 and virtualisation enabled. With mine, I enabled VT only after installing Windows and had issues with incorrect clock speeds etc.

I reinstalled my Windows 8 again this morning with virtualisation enabled in bios beforehand and haven't had any issues so far. I'm running Ivy Bridge Z77 platform not sure if that makes much difference.

My bad... should have read the post properly! :p

Does it work without the overclock? Any issues with the overclock excluding the virtualisation one?
