came home form work and my pc wont boot. it does the first screen where it checks drives and ram then goes to a NVIDIA Boot screen and does nothing...

It then says reboot and select proper boot device.. or insert boot media into device and press ok.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Just been to the BIOS and for some reason its not picking up my hdd... how come as i havent touched it :o

All fixed - opened up my pc and moved the sata cable from one port to another and its now working..

Any ideas - im guessing the port it connected too was broken?

ANyone :P

I doubt it is broken- more like it got removed from the boot order in BIOS ;) Then, when you moved it to another port, the BIOS was forced to re-detect the hard disk and automatically put it into the boot order
