Hi all,
Have just installed new MB and swapped over all components, trying to turn the machine on and it justs goes to a ASUS P5N-E SLi screen with options to:

Press DEL to enter SETUP or Press TAB to display BIOS POST message?

Please help:confused:

Try booting with just the cpu/motherboard/ram/graphics card connected to the board.

ie unplug the cd-rom and hard drives etc...see if it gets passed there.

Re-seat the cpu and ram then.

Then if that doesn't work, try booting with just the one stick in each slot, repeat that with all the sticks.

Could be a compatibility issue. What ram do you have by the way?

RAM 4gb, all OCZ, 2 sticks - OCZ PC2-6400 C4 800mhz SLi Ready, Low latency DDR2
2 sticks - OCZ PC2-6400 C4 Dual Channel Platinum Rev.2 XTC

Reseated the CPU again, tried all sorts of RAM combinations, Changed graphics to 1 card (SLi) and tried both cards:(:(:(

Still no joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PC turns on, all fans running no graphics(signal)??????????????

PLEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEE HHEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP

Hey, does your motherboard have an onboard speaker?

Try turning the system on without and ram installed, if your have an onboard speaker on the motherboard, or a case speaker you can attach, you should hear some beeps coming from your motherboard...

The beeps are a good thing cause that means your motherboard is detecting your cpu. When you installed the cpu did you make sure it went in correctly 100%? And that none of the pins on the motherboard where not bent...?

Just had a check and no it doesn't...which is annoying.

Do you have any more ram available you could try?

Just started from scratch again, removed everything very carefully, cleaned and reapplied Artic Silver to both CPU and Northbridge HS, fitted board, cards, leads, checked all connections and still no good:(

Got 7gig of RAM to go through now:)

Might be worth trying to get the system working out of the case matey :) Will rule out any shorting issues then. (ie run the motherboard placed on the motherboard box or something with the anti static bag under the board...)

It could be voltage issues with the ram or something...cause the cpu was working at one stage as you had a post scree.
