PC won't boot

Hey everyone! Having some computer problems and this is the first place I thought of finding help.

Yesterday I reinstalled XP, it worked fine. I then reinstalled a game (world of warcraft) but it kept failing at 92%. I figured something was wrong with my disks so I borrowed a friend's copy and sure enough it worked fine. I left the PC on all night to patch...

In the morning the patches had downloaded so I installed them and made sure everything was working. I then restarted the PC... but it won't come back on! It still gets power and everything, but it doesn't actually boot XP. The keyboard/mouse don't even light up when starting up (they used to) and the monitor gets no signal. The ethernet port doesn't even light up any more. I can hear the hard drive spin and my DVD drive gets power. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be wrong?

Thanks in advance

Nope, the monitor gets no signal and I've tried using another monitor and still no signal. It doesn't even get to the point where I can try to get into safemode

I did take it out, clean it and put it back in. Still nothing... would a dead graphics card stop it from booting at all? My mate is gonna bring his old graphics card over to see if that fixes so I'll let you know what happens.

Is there anything else I could check in the meantime? :)
