Ok i just bought some new parts for my comp (motherboard, psu and video card) but now that ive put it all together my comp wont boot...

I rebuilt my old parts and my comp started fine so my cpu, hdd and optical drives should all be ok.

heres my 'new' spec

Processor:Core2Duo E6550 S775 2.33ghz4mb

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3 Intel P43 (Socket 775)(link below)

Graphics card: Asus HD Radeon 4890 (link below)

Memory: 4 x 1GB 240DIMM XMS2-6400 CL5 (link below)

PSU: Corsair TX Series 650watt (link below)

the only thing i can think of is that my psu or memory isnt compatitble with my new board but im pretty they are

Any ideas?? Thanks in advance :)

As for the dead ram, when i rebuilt my old setup all the ram worked fine so i can rule that out.

The front panel connectors may well be the wrong way round but im putting off re connecting them because their so awkard! :( Ill give it a go now although they are the same way round as my last motherboard and again that works ok.

Front USB's are not connected as i dont need them

4 pin connector is securely in

when testing my old rig it was with my old psu (480 watt) but ive tryed both old and new psu's on my new setup with no luck. Bought the new (600 watt) as i thought that was why it wasnt booting as my new video card is a beast ;)

Thanks for all the help guys, managed to get it working late last night. Turns out my board cant support dual channel out of the box so i had to put memory into slots 1 and 2 instead of the normal 1 and 3!! Would never have thought to do this but by fluke saw it on a similar thread on another forum.

Not sure whether i need to replace the board or adjust the voltages as suggested by Mattus to get all 4 ram slots working Otherwise im stuck with only 2 slots!! :(

Do i do this in BIOS?
