Hi guys. About a year and a half ago I got from OC a Gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r MB, with a i7 950 and had 3x2GB Corsair XMS3 (CMX6GX3M3A16000C), that OC set up for me. Well I got another 3x2GB kit popped them in and the PC doesn't even let me boot in to BIOS to even beging to set it up.

Plus I know nothing about memory timings and stuff so thats why I got OC to set it up for me. Any help on getting the 12GB to run will be much appreciated.

My MB is Gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r the ram and is identical and at the same frequency its really strange. I pop in the new ram nothing won't even boot to bios, take them out and everything is great.

its probably due to the pre configured oc,best way is to save all your bios/oc settings and then clear the cmos to reset the oc and bios then install all the memory and see what happens

more ram usually needs more qpi/vtt voltage
