It's been running fine for 12months give or take then just stopped the other day. Power was still on as was the monitor. I restarted it and it said there was a problem with Windows, it won't repair or let me do a complete reinstall so I'm guessing it's the crucial ssd that's gone. There are always 3 clicks before it goes off too.
I don't have another blank hdd to try so just after other options or things to try before I get another

Do you have other storage Drives in your pc as the clicking could come from one of those drives.

If you have other hard drives attached completely shut down the pc disconnect from the mains and disconnect storage drives and then see if it boots in to windows as a bad hard drive can stop windows loading.

Have you heard any more clicking since Disconnecting storage drives is what i was going to say but since storage drive still has power it can still click if its that's where it is coming from

I'll give it a go I just would have thought not being connected to the mb would stop it having any influence in boots as it doesn't shut down I just get a blank screen

Yes you are correct if your drive is not connected to the motherboard in anyway it shouldnt have any effect but have you heard any clicking since

Still the same with the other drive disconnected. Could the clicking just be graphics card shutting off?
That's what I thought but I can't even do a clean install
