For about 6 months now my PC won’t go to sleep via the system timer (windows 11) even if I set it to 1min and watch it simply stays on as normal. I can get the screen to power down but not the PC itself.
If I manually tell the system to sleep it does correctly and wakes up when you move the mouse etc.
But never via the timer, it’s got very frustrating I suspect something is forcing it to stay on but I can’t find out what! I looked online and it was suggested the event logs should show what’s preventing it but it’s impossible to read it.. anyone got any suggestions on how to diagnose the issue?
*Note prior to about 6 months it was working fine but I can’t recall what changed in terms of software since then.
Help welcomed
