pc wont hibernate

hi, my pc wont hibernate, i did a quick google search and it said to go to cmd and type "powercfg.exe /hibernate on" which i tried and it came back saying dont have permission to enable or disable hibernate feature.
so how did i turn it off in the first place i dont remember doing this as i only reinstalled about 3 weeks ago.

is there a way i can turn it back on?

You must have done a Disk Cleanup and not unchecked the 1 box for hibernation Files.

ah yes i did not uncheck, would it work if i uncheck it now or is it to late?

Its gone from there once its cleaned up, you need enable it again the same way you have tried with above command.

I cant help because I do not need permission to do anything on my PC so it works for me if I manage to delete it in error, I simply enable it again.

Hmm, try this.

Open CMD as Admin (right click and choose from menu), then try your above command.
