pc wont load games

i installed bf2 and 2142 ok, they updated fine aswel. I duble click the icon, the disk checking window appears, the screen goes black as though the game is about to load, but it doesnt it just goes back to windows no error messages, nothing.

Any ideas?? its quite frustrating.

anyone? its done it before which a format fixed, but I reakky dont want to have to format again

Last time i had something similar, i was using a version of DirectX which was incompatible with my GFX driver.

Long shot i know, but may at least be worth checking driver and DX to see if anything is wrong.

your grafics isn't set up properly, or isn't good enough.

get the latest drivers for your gfx card, and make sure that your gfx card is above the minimum requirements.

that's my best guess at least.

The x1800 is more than capable to run both games.

What driver version are you running? And as previously stated, check your Direct X version, although most games nowadays come with the latest version anyway.

i just unstalled the new one today 7.11 i think. could be that??
and whoever says a x1800xt cant do bf2 doesnt know much about pc's

it does it 1920x1200 easy when it works
