ASRock FM2A75M-DGS AMD A75 Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
AMD A10 black edition
Be quiet Pure Power l7 430 watts
1TB HDD
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA

I've put everything together right, I know i have because i made two systems and one of them works fine and is already running windows. the only difference between the two is that one has a different MOBO, an ASUS A55BM-E.

One thing i have noticed is that the PSU is making a slight squeak however it cannot be heard when simply jumping the green to ground. My only theory is that the mobo is shorting out somehow, although i don't see this as likely.

This is my first build.

possible, the other PC i built was my friends, and I don't think hes gonna be happy me using it.

Is there anything else i could try?

Disconnect everything from the PSU and manually jump start it to see if it turns on? (fan starts spinning, if no fan then plug something low powered into it)

Try building the PC out of it's case on a cardboard box or something. I have problems with my case shorting it out, but I think I just turned the screws too tightly

Pull the plug out, take the CMOS out. Leave it for 30 mins.

Trying this.

Have tried it with a different definitely working PSU, still nothing.

The MOBO was B Grade, so since it isn't the PSU I'm guessing it has to be this. Looks like it may have been dead out of the box. will try thee above, allas I am no longer positive.

Just phoned Customer support. apparently, the A75 chipset isn't compatible with the A10. This doesn't sound right, im sure i did some research before i brought it. but apparently thats the case. they are going to let me swap it though

Not true, the A75/A85 chipsets are both recommended for use with the A10.
Sounds like the mobo is dodgy. You have to remember that "B" grade items are not tested before being resold. I would request an RMA and get it exchanged for a board that works.

Yeah, I am, while I'm here, spec me a mobo.

Also, it seems a bit odd that the customer support guy basically lied to me.

Any of these will enable you to clock the A10 to it`s max providing your ram is fast enough and you have a decent cooler.
