PC Won't Post

Having a few issues with my build which is 4 months old.

I tend to use the PC as a media centre, recording a lot of stuff from freeview so generally it's on for extended periods. Last night I rebooked for the first time in a week and it won't go past the Abit splash screen. Pressing tab won't let me into the POST screen and Del won't let me access the BIOS.

Unfortunately I don't have a case speaker (as it's an MC case it didn't come with one.

Anyone got any ideas or know where I can atleast get hold of a case speaker (though that might be difficult as it's probably a competitor)?

I've tried posting without the drives, with only 1 stick of memory, reseated the chip and removed the TV card all with the same result.

Have you tried resetting the CMOS back of your p35 theres a little switch bleow were u connect the keyboard and mouse. Click that into the reset postion and then back.

If that doesnt work your have to do the one inside on the mobo and may have to remove the battery. See if it posts with after a cmos reset.

Sorry, first thing I did shift the jumper on the MB to reset the BIOS, but still no joy I'm afraid.

try flashing bios?

I think I've realised what it is and I can't believe I've been so dumb!

I think it's my ipod shuffle which I've not disconnected; my PC is trying to use it for ReadyBoost or something and it's just not happy about it.

I disconnected everything internally last night but I didn't think about the externals.

I think this happend a few months ago, but I'd forgotten about it.
