pc wont power on

hey guys i turned of my pc last night and it was working fine then today i go to power it up and i get nothing. no fans spinning no lights coming on its totally dead.

i tried the monitors power lead on it and still the same and i know that lead works.

edit: just tried the psu lead on the monitor and its working fine.

any one got any ideas as to what happened to my comp while it was turned off and how to get it powered up again?

specs are :

asrock dual-vsta mainboard
fsp bluestorm 500watt psu
amd athlon 64 3700+ sandy @ 2.62 ghz
ati x800 gto agp
audigy 1 soundcard

na the plugs both power up the monitor so the fuses on them are fine.

got it fixed turns out there was a problem with the power switch which i didnt spot untill after i had the whole psu out the comp.

the wee switch bit that the plastic power button touches when pushed had become disconnected from the case and fell down the back
