Just gone to turn on my pc as usual and it won't power on. The motherboard must have power because there are led's lit up on it but upon pressing the main power button nothing happens.

First thought is a problem with the psu but surely the motherboard wouldn't have power if this were the case ?, any help would be appreciated.

Specs:

IP35 Pro motherboard
Q6600
4gb ballistix tracer ram
8800GTX

Reset the CMOS and try it again. If it still fails post back. Last time this happened to me it was a bad stick of ram.

had another look and managed to fix it before looking back at this thread for answers. Did involve resetting the cmos though so you were right sepulchre.
