PC won't power on?

Just finished building my PC today, worked all fine and well. Installed windows 7 onto it.
After that I shut the PC down to put the backpanel and reconnect my Hard drive, and now after plugging the PC back in it does not get any power?

You checked to make sure the case button headers didn't pop out of the mobo? Easy enough to do. Sometimes wires get tugged when you put that panel on. Alternatively, potentially a short on the case?

The board usually lights up as does the power supply, now neither do and all of the case button headers are in place still.

What could be the cause of a short on the case?

Bump- Got no idea what to do, PC is showing no signs of life and its worrying me

Have you checked the fuse or tried a different kettle lead for the PSU?

Yep, used my monitor lead (which I know works) and once again, nothing happened

Double-check all the stupid stuff, such as: Switched on at the wall socket, Switch on the back of the PSU set to ON, etc...

Check the CPU power cable, might have snagged that out a little.
Normally the one thing I forget and wonder why nothing boots!

Did you mount stand-offs at all ?

Got it working!

Took the motherboard ect out the case, booted it outside the case and it worked. Put it back in and it still works! Not too sure what the problem was but its fixed now
