Just moved all components and added new power supply Cosair HX520 to a new case Coolmaster Wavemaster for a mate.
Ive Got everything installed and plugged in and ready to go.
I plug it in, turn power supply on, lights on motherbaord come on, but when you press power button nothing happens it doesn't start up.
Ive checked the front panel connections for power and lights and headers and there all plugged in correctly.
Anyone got any idea's what the problem could be?

Cheers

Ive encountered this problem before, and all you can do is hope everythink is connected correctly , its either that, or somethink got damaged on the move. Take your time and possibly re-build it again. Ive had all sorts of weird issues, hardware and software related. Check the mobo pin holders in the new case are not shorting the back of the mobo firstly, then proceed with caution on checking the rest of the system. Good luck.

When its plugged in the lcd readout on mb says 00 but when you press the power button it changes 8.2 anyone know what this means?? Motherboard is Abit AB9 Pro

Could it be the power supply that is faulty? As this is the only component thats been changed apart from the case. How can I test to see if the power supply actually works without another rig to test it on

Its a Cosair HX520

Cheers

checked manual and site they say its power supply problem ive just tried it with a generic 350watt power supply and it powers up,

Looks like another busted Cosair Power supply

Time to RMA power supply only got the thing today aswel!

Thanks for help guys

Its better DOA then dead after a week or so use, its easier to sort out, at least you have a spare to tie you over.

It happens, not always but it does happen, you can't expect 100% of hardware to work out of the box.
