PC won't power up

My son's PC has a ASRock live mix MB in it and in recent days the rgb light has been flashing on and off not in a warning light kind of way, but almost flickering. On occasions the PC would not boot and required you to turn the pc off at the mains before it would start even though the pc had clearly shutdown. Now it won't boot at all, sometimes it will boot on occasion, but it still needs to be switched off.

Sometimes a dodgy bios battery can cause weird issues so that mite be worth checking/changing.

Can you list the pc spec please.

I would check all power cables are firmly seated, although when I had a similar issue where I had to switch it off completely like you that turned out to be a failing power supply.

Can you double check if it is a no power, post or boot. Having been in tech support for many years, so many times folk would say no boot when they actually meant no power.

Does the PC actually power on and complete the post sequence?

Each time it fails to boot can you access the BIOS or boot menu?
