pc wont recognise OS

my PC's been running fine for months, just turned it on and it doesnt boot windows, its just a blank screen, tried booting in safe mode but theres no OS to choose from :S

Any help apreciated

nevermind , its fixed, changed the cd drive :eek:

yeh i tried to boot from windows cd, and nothing happend, but the cd drive was like vruuummmmm! way louder than usual, which gave me the idea to try changing it

, stuck with a damn ide one now clogging up my case :/

Use round IDE cables.

ooo thought you ment your cd drive stoped workig and all of a sudden your pc no longer could read the os on your hard drive.
