pc wont shut down

hi guys, winxp sp2.

i go to shut down, it goes to the "windows is shutting down" screen and stays on that for at least 5 minutes, after that i just turn it off. so im not sure if it actually will shut down eventually or if its crashed.

any advice?

Try importing this into your registry (obviously that should be saved as a .reg file)

Should drop your shutdown time dramatically.
