Hi there guys

Ive been having a few problems with my pc for the last week or so.

6 days ago i shutdown my pc for the first time in 6 or 7 weeks :/ lol and apon restarting it i got a blue screen of death just after the vista loading screen

restarted and after doing the same thing 3 times on the 4th atempt i got a hard drive error msg saying please insert system disk.

i could never install vista on that raptor drive again as i kept getting a msg saying something like (windows vista can not find the right type of system disk to install on)even tho i deleted the partistion formated ect ect ect it just wouldant have it.

in the end i had to format my second drive and vista installed on that drive fine.

apon getting back into windows i did a full disk check on the raptor and it found 0 errors :/

anyway everythings running great again apart from one new problem.

whenever i shutdown my system it shuts down as normal for about 4 seconds and then reboots its self :/ ive played with all wake on lan bios settings ect ect.

dissabled in vista rebooting apon a hardware failiure incase the pc was crashing on shutdown at the last minute and i did not realize but i just cant cure it :/ any help or ideas please advise.

ps i did have this thing overclocked. anyone think ive fried something ?

ive done memory tests also and got 0 errors.

i should never have shut it down lol

what happens if you disconnect the Raptor?

Apart from Wake-on settings the other things that I have seen cause this over the years are mismatched RAID BIOS/drivers & failing PSUs.

I know you haven't mentioned it in your PC specs, but you also haven't mentioned a discrete sound card so it's worth checking: if you're using a TV card with PC wake-up facilities, particularly one made by Compro, it may be that that's causing the problem. Either way, it's worth trying simply disconnecting the mains supply from your PC for around 10 minutes.

Hope this helps.
