I believe I've wired it up correctly, but the wires on this case are different to my old one,the wires for the actual case are all separate, there's 3 two pins and then 2 single pin plugs.the old case had all the case wires into one socket.so I'm assuming the way I've done it is wrong and when I press the on switch it's not connecting to the motherboard.

The mono is a h57h am2 and the case is cit vantage gamers case

I can't work out how to add photos,I don't have a mobo manual. The wire arrangement on the old case is different to the new one so I can't work out how to wire it up to the motherboard. The old case was a 9 pin plug with like 1 empty space.these are all on little parts.

The plugs are labeled .hdd led ,reset sw,power sw, those are 2 pin connectors.then there's two single pins saying power led+.the motherboard port says f panel on it where I'm plugging them in.but do thy need I go in in an order ,which way etc?if the case is shorting it,if I take it out the case and put it on the carpet and try it will that work or damage it?

Also, the connector on my motherboard which is 4 pin just under the psu,I've plugged the cable with CPU written on it in there,is that correct,I found a manual online and it says that should be power?

If the 2 pin connectors have + or triangle symbols on them, assume those are the positive ends. You may still need to refer to the mobo manual (glad you found it) to see the correct layout.

Yes.
