pc wont start up

hello all

ive had a problem with my pc today and though it was the dvd drive so i disconnected the drive booted up and sure enough started up with no problem ,heres problem number 2 i thought ok ill shut down reconnect dvd and see what happens as i clicked shut down in windows i moved my hand onto the case not to do anything just kind of ready to reconnect the drive once i had cut all power,as my hand touched the case i moved the molex conector that conects to my dvd drive and it kind of touched the pins on the dvd drive and everything went of ,now nothing happens when i press the button on the front . have i fried everything :confused:
 
Perhaps not, might just be your PSU ? You could try and test the PSU without connecting it (bridge the green and black wires I think, but google it to make sure :p ) At least that will eliminate the PSU. Have you tried disconnecting the DVD-RW drive and then try powering on the computer (or am I just being dumb :)) Good luck :D
 
im getting nothing no lights spins etc .
problem is it my download box wich is in a antec case ,the psu comes with it as its not like a normal psu :mad:

i removed the fuse from the plug looked ok but by removeing the plug its fixed my problem , although im back to problem one where it wont boot from screen :mad: ill look into this more
