Hi,

Few weeks ago my PC decided to stop working, so I though that be my CPU which was faulty, so i bought a new E5300 2.6ghz cpu, replaced it with my E6600 2.4 ghz proc but still nothing happen could not start up PC, can't even hear any Beeps what so ever, which means BIOS is not posting.

The reason i though my cpu was faulty, I tried to run it with post card and it gave me an error code which was an cpu failure.

So new cpu didn't do the trick,

After that i bought new Gigebyte Mobo, installed it tonight, same thing, nothing happens, I am running out of ideas.

Well it could be memory, but then again shouldnt PC start up even without it ? I removed my memory sticks to try etc, nothing.

What could be the reason of my problem? Any ideas?

I am starting to think that the BIOS update might be needed, but it wouldn't really make sense, since i had same problem with old cpu on old mobo etc.

The new mobo i bought is Gigabyte GA-P31-ES3G

I removed the battery for few minutes, i also did reset CMOS by touching it with screwdriver as it says in manual, this mobo has no jumpers.

Still no luck, i turn on PC, nothing happens no beeps etc, I checked all my fans, all of them are working, psu everything works, but Monitor won't start. Ehmmm

So I just end up looking at black monitor sreen with no beeps.

you taken out anything you don't need

for booting you only need 1 RAM stick. If still no luck, you could try reseating the CPU ( just to make sure) if still nothing

than take something out you shouldn't like the RAM (which is the first thing the BIOS would check for) you will need the case specker plugged into the mobo through

If it fails to beep get a new mobo

I have tried 3 different cpus on this mobo I am sure the new cpu i have is just fine.

Tried the memory trick, nothing.

I won't get a new mobo since this one is brand new one and I have exactly same problem on my previous Asus mobo, i have also only few months old PSU, plus it seems to run all the fans etc just fine so i doubt it is PSU.

The only thing I am not sure about right now is memory, but i haven't got spare DDR2 sticks to check.

Then again it would be strange that both my memory sticks would die at same time right?
