Hi guys I've just got home and my main pc won't start up

The motherboard has lights up but it won't start up at all. I've pressed the power button on the tower but nothing happens I've also pressed the start button on the motherboard but still nothing

Assuming you mean signature's PC that's such old that plenty of things could have worn out.

Things to try would be trying to boot with minimum parts only and such.
Clearing CMOS etc...

Try another power supply to rule out a dud psu.
I managed to sort it, the O/H thought it would be quicker to plug in the hair dryer and hair strainer the same time and the power went off, but the PC would still not boot I tried a few things, checked the fuse, then changed the cable, in the end I removed the power cable and left it for 10 mins and reconnected and it started working again. I guess i was lucky.
