Ok, ive always ran 3 sticks of ram in my pc ,a 2gb,and two 1gb sticks, however, recently ive only been running two because ive been running 32bit windows(one in first slot and one in third slot) I went to put the other stick back in and now the pc wont come up on screen whenever a stick of ram is insterted into the second slot, ive also tried all different types of combinations but even with the sticks in different slots i cant get the pc running with 3 sticks in, any ideas? ive allready tried resseting the cmos , help?

I had the exact problem. Turned out my PSU went on the fritz and somehow it fried the first 2 slots. Slots 3+4 still work fine

Try a known working module in each slot individually. To eliminate the slots.
MOBO: Asus M4A785TD-V EVO
CPU : AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition 3.1GHz UNLOCKED TO QUAD CORE
RAM: 4GB Kingston ddr3 1333mhz
GPU: HIS 6850 1gb Overclocked.
HARDRIVES: Hitatchi deskstar 320gb sata & 160gb, seagate sata 80gb
What's your specs?

ill give what you said a try and get back, cheers

i think this may be the case, i used a new coolermaster psu the other day which died after turning it on, kinda dead seconds after using it and didnt work anymore so sent it back on rma, maybe it fried the second slot?
