Switched on today and have no display
Gigabyte z87x-oc. 4770k. 16gig corsair vengeance. Xfx pro 1050
Have removed all from WC'd case. Have standard cooler on chip and put new 780 card in. Using another hard drive.
All comes on but no display. When you unplug dvi cable light on monitor goes red (standby). When plugged in the blue light is on. Tried my small TV through hdmi can't get anything. also tried hdmi on mobo and still nothing.
Motherboard led code is A6

Had to write this on my phone as my laptop stopped working last week too

Done 2nd bios. Can't get display on cpu at all. It has lost its display with WC 780 and now I'm using brand new MSI 780 straight out of box.
Prior to this happening the PC was starting weird. Slow boot screen and Outlook when clicked sort of fades in then fades out when shut. Also when you hover over progs on the start bar they fade in and out.

PC was all ok yesterday. Still had that slow start thing as described above

Had the battery out for a few hours. Put it back together and still nothing. Stumped on this one.....possible mobo knackered?

Okay what I have got so far.Have got little TV up from downstairs. Can get into windows on both my motherboards now using the onboard HDMI. When I put a graphic card in 780 and use the HDMI I get nothing on both boards. I think my monitor is not working properly and possibly the PSU.
The PSU fairly new and as stated above a good make

Typing this on pc now. Still using TV. Got WIN8 installed on spare HD.
Going to take my monitor round a friends house to test with DVI. My monitor might not be switching over to HDMI

Monitor has DVI, HDMI, D-sub and component.
Have taken monitor down stairs and plugged playstation in with HDMI. Have managed to get it switched to the HDMI output but still no picture. When you pull the HDMI lead out the monitor goes into standby and when you put it back in it comes out of standby, so it knows its getting an output. Same as it did using DVI just not getting a picture. Going down my mates in a moment will try monitor and Gcard there.

No not under warranty.
have just pulled the HDMI lead out the on board and put it into the 780
Have display up on TV.
Looks like knackered monitor. Still got to do more PSU investigation though
