Evening all,

I've just bought a new case and today I moved everything over.

However, the PC now won't start (no fans, no nothing)

The Power LED on the Mobo is green so I know it's getting power.

I have an AX760 full modular PSU and I've connected everything up but nothing....

Any ideas?

24 pin is in and so is the 4 pin CPU.

There is also the 10 pin attached to the other end of the 24 pin on the PSU.

Paper clip test is a success (i.e. the fans turn on) so doesn't appear to be an issue with the power supply.

Could it be an issue with the power button?

hoping you don't have the same problem as I had when I changed case..

Ive no ideas how I managed it or how it done it but when I first bought my Phanteks Enthoo Pro M case and swapped my sabertooth and FX8350 into the case my system wouldn't boot.

I checked all the obvious. power button, connections, different PSU, different RAM,

finally tried my CPU into another board that I had tested with an old 1090T and had got into BIOS with it.
I knew the board was good and it was compatible as had previously used it with the 8350
still no joy.. so I tried the 1090T into the sabertooth board and it booted up!!

still to this day Ive no ideas how I managed it as I never removed the CPU from the board I just lifted the board complete out my old case and placed it directly into my new case!! but the CPU never survived the move.

Have you tried disconecting everything then removing the mobo battery and leaving it out for half an hour? I've brought a few seemingly dead mobos back to life in the past doing that.

Also take out one of your ram sticks for now, bare minimum is best till ya know where the problem lies.

Try starting with just one stick of RAM. Insert the RAM in the first slot and attempt to power the motherboard, if it doesn't work then remove it from the first slot then insert it into the second slot and try to power and so on. Then do the same with two sticks then three.

I've had a motherboard that wouldn't start unless I placed RAM in a specific slot for the first boot, it was completely fine after the first boot. I've also had an EVGA Classified motherboard which came with some very nice test tools, when I attempted first boot I had zero activity and later discovered the test power switch was jammed against the case and was pressing the power reset button.

Just an update for everyone.

Replaced the motherboard and the PC has booted!

Only problem is that I must have shorted the board as it took 1 of my SSDs with it and my 2TB HDD too :(

Oh well, it's up and running at least!
