I have just recently upgraded my pc to an 2500k and 8gb of ram but now I have a problem when I turn the computer off, it all goes normal at first (screen goes off, os shuts down) however all my fans stay on including the psu's. The leds on the motherboard also stay on but the ones on the graphics card go off . The hard drives also go off.

All my fans are powered off molex so it could be something wrong with the psu but it was fine before.

spec

i5 2500k
gigabyte z68 ud5
corsair low profile vengeance 8gb
gigabyte 480
corsair 850w psu
2x wd 500gb
bitfenix colossus

Iv re installed the motherboard drivers, repaired windows and updated the bios. Any idea on what the problem could be?

Thanks.

I've heard of stay awake features on hardware before, designed to remove the excess heat after system shut down. Does it just hang there indefinitely, or do they eventually turn off?

The longest I've left it for was 5 mins, I'm going to leave a while longer to see what happens. Also the fans arnt running a full speed. If I stop one it won't start up again.
