Hello
i just finished building a pc for a friend with parts all bought from ocuk.
the problem, is that the motherboard is recieving power, but when i press the power button, the pc simply doesnt power up. i thought perhaps the button wasnt working, so i tried it with a different case front panel, same story.
ive checked and re checked the connecters to the mobo to make sure the on button is correctly connected, everything appears to be fine.
ive also tried with no components in the system, thinking perhaps the psu wasnt upto it, still, the power is getting to the mobo, but not powering up.
here are the complete specs:
P5NE-SLI mobo
HUNTKEY 500 watt psu (i think this MIGHT be the problem)
asus 7300 gt
1 gb (2x512) corsair
e4500 and stock cooler
some akasa case
3 hdds, 2 are ide, 1 is sata
2 disc drives
any ideas at all? i do intend on trying it with my antec trio at some point, but could it be anything else?
thanks
