Pc works, but nothing displays on monitor

Hi, im kinda new to pc building thematic, so im trying to build my old pc again (reasons), it starts, but monitor saying no signal, then i tried to switch cpu's (ryzen 5 1600, ryzen 7 3700x and ryzen 7 5800x3d) and gpu's (gtx 1060 with rtx 3070) from my new pc, but it was unsuccessful, motherboard is asus prime b350 (or b450 i dont really remember). Connected all cables so i dont know what's the problem

i suspect you need a bios update that has support for for 3000 and 5000 series ryzens, you need to find which board you have and download the correct bios for it that has support, when flashed your pc should boot up with no issues

But it's not booting even with 1600

the 1600 came out after the board so i would say its a bios issue, find out which board you have and we can go from there, exact model is important

Try one gpu at a time and check you are connecting with the output gpu to input gpu source.

Been looking at that board and if you have a ryzen 5 1600/x that cpu is supported from version 0406 which is what the board would have shipped with, if you have a ryzen 5 1600AF version you need bios version 5204, the 3700x would need bios version 4801 and finally for the 5800x3d to work you need bios version 6042

the latest bios version for your motherboard is 6203, this should allow all above cpu's to work. before any of this though, there are things to try to see if the pc will show a picture.

i would start by building the pc but have no drives attached and see if you get a picture, use the older card (gtx 1060) for better compatibility and see what happens, you could try a cmos reset and if that dont work locate the cmos battery and take it out, 10-15mins should be enough and then put it back in and try again.

another trick is to use 1 dimm instead of 2 just to see if it will trick the pc into life.

check your moniter cable too and if you can use another display just in case anything is causing problems.

With 1 or 2 sticks then according to the manual you should be using A2, second slot from the CPU. A1 only comes in with 4 sticks.

RAM slots/channels not working can sometimes be a cooler issue (over or under tightened).
