PC -> XBOX connectivity + Q's

My little bro has asked me if I have a cable to connect his PC to his 360.

I have a network cable that will connect the 360 to a router but will this work as a direct connection?

On a side note, I have just connected my 360 to my router. I have created a new gamertag, however, will it be possible to link my offline account to my gamertag account?

Yes you can, this would be how most people connect to XboX Live

Why did you create a new tag if you have one. You can't link it unfortunatly.

Once you get past that stage with hooking the 360, you can use various MS apps to run media from my PC onto my 360 much like a Media server.
