PC161 Mic problem

Cant seem to get my mic to work on my Sennheiser PC161 headphones, i thought they were just plug and play. Can any one help please? :confused:

Headphones themselves are working perfectly, i have the uptto date driver and ive tried both the front and rear jacks but nothing through mic.

Mic might be muted in the Volume Controls... they might be hidden so you might have to choose File->Properties and check a box in order to reveal the volume control for the mic.

No unfortunatly, this was one of this many things ive tried. Maybe its faulty.
