PC2-8500 RAM suggestions

Good day all,

I want to swap out my PC2-5399 Ballistix (that I overclock) for some solid PC2-8500 modules.

I have a Q6600 which I will be overclocking. I need 4GB. Not wanting to spend more than £100.

Suggestions?

what mobo ?

I had issues with OCZ reaper on Nvidia Chipsets.

Corsair dominator is always a good choice then there are the more expensive stuff liek cell shock.

im in the same boat

stuck between 2X2Gb of dominator
or OCZ reaper
but not sure if the ocz still has issues running in asus boards

I'm running the normal OCZ 8500 stuff without any issues @ 515mhz 1:1 @ default timings 15/5/5/5

do you have the latest bios on?

It can do, Asus use non Ref Bios and OCZ blame this but I say BS.

Use Corsair and you will get no issue with Asus.

g.skill PK series gets my vote. the 2*2gb set of 8500 has been getting some nice clocks.
