PC2700 to PC3200

right i have a AT7-MAX2 MB running a athlon xp 2700+ and 1gb pc2700 memory would it be worth going from pc2700 to pc3200 memory and them running my cpu at 10x 200mhz instead of 13x 166mhz

I would say there isnt much point tbh, you will be losing ~150mhz with a gain of a bigger fsb but I doubt it would really justify the cost of new ram.

I had some pc3200 and went to pc4400 and there wasent that much difference

i was just thinking the faster 200mhz and my cpu running at 10.5x and 200fsb thats 2100 so it should be faster than 166mhz 13x 166fsb 2158 thats that i was thinking but i could be wrong

just clock the 2700 a bit more, should reach 175-180 no problems, may even get 200+ ...

What chips are they ?
