Hi guys,
I'm looking at upgrading some laptop RAM, and when checking what RAM I currently have (to buy the same stuff), I noticed there is an 'f' marked at the end of the RAM type. I haven't seen this before, so I had a quick google and apparently this 'f' means the RAM is fully buffered, it also advised that fully buffered RAM is not the same socket type as non-buffered RAM. There was a reply to this information from a guy who said the above was incorrect?
Can anyone confirm what this 'f' means, and if I could just buy some normal PC3-8500 (without 'f') and if this will fit in?
Cheers much
