PC350SE - Hero mod?

A few days ago I accidentally snapped my PC350s after about a years use, so I got the PC350SEs as a replacement and am liking the new features, however the bass is as good as my PC350s. However I did do the hero mod on my 350s, wondering if anyone has attempted this on the 350SEs

If you do do it, let me know what you think.
I've only recently got a set of PC350SE's myself and I rather like the sound but as they're new they still need time to burn-in.
I am probably going to change is the ear pads though, as I think velour is more comfortable. Sennheiser HD595 ear pads supposedly fit.
