What i the difference between these modules other than a slighter lower trcd & trp and of course the price??

Corsair 2GB DDR XMS4000PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS3 (MY-094-CS)
@ 3-4-4-8
£146.82 Including VAT

Mushkin 2GB DDR XP4000 Redline Extreme Performance Dual Channel Kit (2x1GB) (991493) (MY-002-MK)
@ 3-3-2-8
£234.94 Including VAT

£87 is a big difference..

Basically you're paying a lot of money for a performance increase that I reckon you'll only see in benchies, or in games if you run fraps IMHO. The Mushkin will run tighter timings and probably clock higher, but if you're after value for money and general a round 2 gig goodness, then go for the cheaper memory.
Consider something like OCZ or gskill for peformance against cost. Another way to look at it is, take the difference in cost and upgrade your cpu or graphics card, tha'll give you a FAR greater and more tangible increase in performance.
