Okay finally succumbed to the dark side and gone Intel.....;)

Got so far a 1.25v G0 Q6600 and an Abit IP35 pro mobo.

Going to watercool and overclock so what memory do you recommend?

Looking at the following:

PC6400: 2 x 2Gb

PC8500: 2 x 2gb

Am i right in guessing that good quality PC6400 memory with 4-4-4-12 will probably still run at 1000+ at 5-5-5-12 anyway?

Plus will my overclock have a bearing? ie say I only go to 9 x 400, what would my memory be running at?

Or is it better to aim for 8 x 450? or maybe I get lucky and I end at 9 x 422 or 8 x 475. Would that affect my choice of memory?

Sorry about the lame questions, spent 7 years only overclocking AMD systems so this is all new to me again and I will have a lot to learn!

PC2-6400 is grand for a Q6600. The CAS4 stuff will be a little quicker, tho it's not really worth the extra money over CAS5.

The Abits are susposed to be quite memory-friendly, as are most P35 based boards.

Avoid the Ballistix. It has a nasty habit of dying. The G.Skill 2x2gb kits have a very good reputation.
