PC7+ - Put my mind at ease please

I've been planning my first system build for the last few weeks now and the first thing I decided on, after some deliberation, was the case - the Lian Li PC7+. Now I've come to the point where i'm ready to order all my components though, I've started to read some worrying threads about the case being prone to rattling and other noises, and motherboards having to be 'bent' to fit.

I appreciate the noise issues can be resolved, but tbh as this is going to be my first build I could probably do without niggles like this. As for the possible mobo issue, well that sounds a bit scary (I'll be going with the P5B deluxe btw).

Just after some reassurance really before proceeding. Is this as good as I have been led to beleive till now?

i have the same motherboard and case you dont have to uh..bend the motherboard (who bent a motherboard??) and i had issues with noise after adding a 4th drive

Whoever told you that you will need to bend the Mobo is deluded.I build loads of systems in the Lian Li, never had to "bend" one yet.So that`s one of your worries out the way mate

I'm sure I've read it on ths forum in the last few days (I'm sure the guy said he shorted his board doing it ) but I'll be darned if I can find it now! Perhaps I'm just going senile .

i think yewen mentioned before there is some flex in the mobo tray itself, not the mobo of course.

I've read a vast amount more posotive comments on the PC7 than I have negative. The only slight niggle that comes up is vibration which is easily cured with some Blu-Tac, this mainly seems to be an issue for people with multiple drives etc so if you doing a bog standard PC build I suspect you will be fine!

I will be going with 3 HDDs, so I guess I will have to expect this issue to arise ?

I`ve got 3 Samsungs in the HD Rack.I havn`t noticed any rattle or excessive noise from them.

great case, never had a problem, slight rattle the odd time but that's due to my desk being a little un-level lol

Just got my new pc7 plus case came with 2 120mm fans, very good case cheap, great build quality, very quite highly recommended. 10/10

My experience has been the same. I've had mine for a shade over 9 months and it's quiet as a churchmouse.

Mine came with a side vent too, which i assume is the latest revision.
