PC8000 on an asus 780i seems to be running slow

I'm running 2x 2GB sticks of G.Skill PC8000 on my new asus striker II formula.

This RAM is designed to go at 1000Mhz according to the EPP#1 but it's only running at 800.

I've tried manually clocking it to 1Ghz using the stated voltage, but the timings went way off.

I'm pretty sure there is more i could do to it manually, but is there a way of simply choosing the profile from the BIOS??

I think EPP will only work upto 800mhz with that Mobo, mnaully set timings/volts etc.
