PC8500 or PC6400

Hi Chaps,


I currently this setup.

Asus P5W DH Deluxe MB
Corsair XMS2 8500 2GB
Intel Conroe E6300 @ 3Ghz.
XFX 7950 GX2

I currently have a X6800 on back order at the mo, its ETA should be some point next week.

Now would i get better advantages from changing them ram, this used to be my old ram with my FX62 chip.

I've read quite a few reviews about this Geil 6400 memory, would this be quicker then the current ram.

I believe the timings of the corsair are 5-5-5-5-15 is this good or bad?

Is it worth changing the ram? also what would be the best ram to get for the X6800

I Whould say no save the money as you whould have paid a lot all ready for that Pc8500 and if you look here

you will see that your ram will hardly max out even with the x6800
Also you chould use 4.4.4.12 wich should not be a problem with ram like that even a high speeds
Upgrade something else
