Is it worth buying this RAM at all please?

Would it actually run at 1000mhz+ at stock?

Just need a little info on it, as i might be upgrading soon.

Or should I hold back, DDR3/4 is comming out soon?

it won't run PC8500 right out of the box, it's for ocers who are looking for the best RAM that will match the OCed FSB speed (500Mhz+).

Otherwise it is utterly pointless.

So does all the DDR2 RAM run at the same speed out of the box? and the FSB in the descriptions is just what it can be clocked up to ?

If you use a divider to the RAM, say CPU is at 266 FSB and the RAM is at 400FSB. Is there any disadvantage to doing this? would you loose any preformance to the CPU or other components?

I've had a look at a few different types of RAM, and came across this: Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-6400C3 TwinX / http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-120-CS

Would this be a good choice of RAM to buy, the timings are great for DDR2. Would this be faster than the 1066 Mhz stuff because of the lower timings?

So is that choice of RAM a good choice? or should I go a bit higher, PC8500 ?
